What we collect
We store account names, email addresses and password hashes; seller profiles; advert information and uploaded images; saved cars and searches; enquiries, replies and reports; and administration records. We use short-lived hashed IP identifiers to limit abusive requests. Your hosting provider may also keep access and error logs.
Why we use it
Account, advert and messaging information is used to provide the service you request. Moderation, security and fraud prevention support our legitimate interest in operating a safe service. Where applicable, payment records are retained to meet accounting obligations. We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers in this version.
What is public
Live adverts show car details, photographs, the seller’s name or business name, town and outward postcode. Dealer profiles are public. Account email addresses, password hashes and private messages are not shown publicly. Messages are available to the buyer and seller and may be accessible to authorised operators through service administration or backups.
Cookies
AutoZer uses an essential session cookie to keep sign-in and forms secure. It lasts for the browser session. There are no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies in the supplied application.
Retention and deletion
Account information is retained while the account remains active. Adverts stop being public when sold, withdrawn, rejected or expired, but remain in the owner’s account. Deleting your account removes its database records, adverts, photos and related conversations from the active service. Security rate-limit records are removed after 24 hours when subsequent requests are processed. Backup copies may remain until the operator’s backup retention period ends; contact support for details.
Your choices and rights
You can update your profile, download your account data and delete a non-administrator account in My AutoZer. Contact us to request access, correction, restriction, objection or other applicable data rights. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Service providers and changes
The operator’s web host stores and processes the site’s data. No external email, analytics or card-payment provider is integrated in this version. If integrations or processing arrangements change, this notice will be updated before those features are used.
